About Us
Sikh Awakening was founded by a group of young, passionate sevadaars (volunteers) interested in spreading the meanings and practical application of Gurbani to Sikh college students. The organization aims to make Gurbani relatable to today’s youth in order to encourage positive lifestyle changes. We conduct “Gurbani Study” courses throughout the country. Sikh awakening hosts it’s Gurbani study courses on campuses through Sikh Student Associations in order to provide a local and convenient space for college students to learn the meanings of Gurbani and their practical applications. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, classes were held at over 30 university Sikh student associations. We hope to reach numerous college campuses again and positively impact the lives of Sikh college students across the country.

Sikh Awakening has three Gurbani Study curriculums:
Volume II - Japji Sahib Pauris 1-5
Each volume is a combination of translations, activities, group discussions, and corresponding YouTube videos. The course is facilitated by an on campus volunteer. All participating universities are sent copies of our corresponding course workbooks at no cost.
Please send an email to admin@sikhawakening.org for more information about hosting a Gurbani Study course on your campus!
